I’ve done this ride a couple of times in the past (2018, 2017 or whatever) and it’s always super fun. For the last few years, it’s been put on my my friend Sean and his cadre of awesome volunteers.

Free gravel rides tend to fill up quickly, and the M56 is no different. This year, Sean did something a little different for registration, offering the first 250 registrations to people who made a $56 donation to 360 Communities. The next week, free registration for the remaining 250 slots opened up. 100% of the money went to 360 Communities – in fact, registration actually ran directly through their site. Sean expected to have 50–70 riders sign up through the charity option in the first week.

All 250 slots were filled within a couple of days. So that’s pretty cool.

The ride kicks off early on the last Sunday in April from the home of the Miesville Mudhens, Jack Ruhr Stadium.

Frankly, I don’t love gravel riding – but this is a super fun ride with a bunch of friends, so I’ll put up with it.
